Visit to Shakespeare North Playhouse
We had an amazing visit to the Shakespeare North Playhouse in Prescot, Liverpool. Our Y10 and Y11 students watched a performance of 'Romeo and Juliet' in the Elizabethan style Cockpit Theatre. It was a fantastic experience for our students to watch a performance of a play that they study for GCSE, but also to experience it in the setting of an Elizabethan theatre. We were very close to the stage and had an excellent view! The performance included BSL, Captions and Audio Description and this was integral to the storytelling of Shakespeare's play.
