Year 11 Careers Day was a great success on Friday. Students were professional, organised and resilient - dealing with the formal interviews confidently and articulately.
Andrew Stephan from Learning Services at Stoke City Council who conducted some of the interviews told us,
"Thanks for the chance to get involved in today’s interview sessions – it was a great experience to interview such intelligent, engaging and generally impressive young people.
All were well-presented and communicated clearly and persuasively. All thought on their feet and came up with convincing responses to difficult and sometimes quite complex questions. I was particularly struck by how appropriate careers goals were, and how much thought and consideration has obviously gone into identifying these. Perhaps most importantly, all had the likeability factor which can count for so much in the world of work."
All would have got the job, hands down."
