Welcome to our Management Board section


Please find below details of how our Management Board is structured, including the names, categories, responsibilities and terms of appointment for each member.

We are looking for volunteer governors to join our Management Board.

The hours are both variable and flexible, and will be agreed between you and the Management Board.  Governors are the biggest volunteer force in the UK.

This is an exciting opportunity to help drive forward school improvement by making a significant contribution to our governing body.  You will be part of a Management Board, working effectively with the chair, the Teacher in Charge and other members, and you will be suitably trained to carry out the three core functions;

 

  • Ensuring clarity of vision, ethos and strategic direction;
  • Holding the Teacher in Charge to account for the educational performance of the school and its pupils, and the performance management of staff; and
  • Overseeing the financial performance of the school and making sure its money is well spent.

 

You will:

 

  • be passionate about improving education for all children
  • not need an education background to be a school Governor, Governing Bodies need skills from all walks of life
  • be willing to give your time and share your skills and knowledge to ensure positive outcomes for all our children
  • be a team player, who is well organised, with good listening and oral skills.
